CISCO Networking Academy

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Attock Campus has been awarded as a Cisco Academy by Cisco Regional Academy COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad in 2007 with collaboration of Cisco Systems, USA.

The CCNA training program involves 4 modules and delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on-labs and preparation for industry standard certifications. This certification gives students the ability to design, install, maintain, manage and troubleshoot networks.

History of Networking Academy Program

The Networking Academy began in 1997 with 64 schools and has grown to become one of the "world's largest classrooms" with 11,000 academies in 165 countries, and nearly 4 million students having participated in the program to date. Cisco Systems started Cisco Networking Academy Program to help students gain the real world skills of the Internet economy. The curriculum combines the theory and practice of designing, developing and implementing the networks that drive modern organizations. And beyond this, it teaches the teamwork skills that are essential for success in today's market. The Program's success speaks for itself. There are now more than 11,000 academies in over 165 countries world-wide helping hundreds of thousands of students acquire the skills they will need to compete in the Internet economy. Cisco Networking Academy Program enable students to develop problem solving skills with hands on labs, simulations and practical assignments. Students learn to design, install, maintain, manage and troubleshoot networks. The program is designed to provide a strong foundation for higher education degree programs in electrical engineering, computer science, or management information systems. Past Academy students understand that the rigorous curriculum is a stepping stone to advanced IT coursework.
