About CIIT
COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) started its journey in 1998, and established its first campus at Islamabad in April 1998. In August 2000, in recognition of CIIT's achievements, the Federal Government granted it the status of a Degree Awarding Institute (DAI) through promulgation of its charter. The CIIT is now slated for up gradation as a university by the name of ‘COMSATS University’ through an Act of the Parliament.
Vision:
The CIIT is dedicated to the search for truth through advancement of learning and extending the frontiers of knowledge; to the sharing of this knowledge through education in academically diverse disciplines; and to the application of this knowledge to benefit the people of Pakistan, in particular, and the Muslim Ummah and the world, in general.

In a developing country like ours where the potential is bounteous but much is yet to be done, a chain of institutes like CIIT is blessing. The vision and Mission Statement of the Institute is a true manifestation of what we venture to achieve in our day to day working at CIIT- Attock Campus. The quality of our graduates in the market is clear depiction of our untiring and exhaustive efforts. The name COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) is synonymous with the leading edge in computer science and computer engineering. Our aim is to remain among the leading institutions of the country for providing quality education in these disciplines. We educate students in a way that fosters technical excellence, originality and breadth of vision. We have been able to achieve our aims with the help of our academia and qualified faculty, which is drawn largely from senior positions in the industry, ensuring that links back to the commercial world are maintained and that students work on real problems, in real time, as in real life.
